Public Talk “3D & AI in Fashion”
14 April 2026
From March 27 to 29, 2026, as part of the Erasmus+ initiative Green DigiFashTech Manager—a two-year European project funded by the European Union—the Macedonian Fashion Association and Fashion Weekend Skopje organized the public talk “3D & AI in Fashion.”
Through a dynamic series of discussions, the program explored regional practices at the intersection of fashion, 3D technology, and artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on the next wave of digital creators and the emerging talent shaping the future of the industry. The program brought together a diverse group of speakers who shared insights into the evolving relationship between fashion and technology.
Fashion designer Nikola Eftimov led a compelling talk titled “AI Transforming Fashion: Technology, Imagination, and the Designer.” The session explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping creative processes and redefining the boundaries between art, technology, and design—offering a true masterclass in innovation.
Angela Donevska, Textile Engineer and 3D Fashion Designer, presented her forward-thinking approach to digital fashion, highlighting the synergy between technology and creativity. She introduced her project “Deep Within – Hologram Collection” x Neonflex.mk, as well as PARALLEL UNIVERSE—a concept where digital fashion meets brutalist aesthetics.
Angelina Kanchevska, Design Academy Manager and Quality Manager at Semos Education, shared valuable insights into how 3D technologies and AI are transforming design processes, enhancing creativity, and supporting more sustainable practices. She also emphasized the growing importance of digital skills in education as essential tools for the next generation of designers.
The program also highlighted the collaboration between Fashion Weekend Skopje and the Academy of Graphic Design at Semos Education. Seventeen students and alumni, mentored by Bojan Budzarovski and Erina Bogoeva, developed over 33 creative proposals for the visual identity of FWSK32 using AI and digital tools.
The official key visual was created by Edita Zekjirovikj, while all works were presented as part of a curated exhibition—demonstrating that the future of visual language is already here.
Designer Daniela Milosheska, Creative Director of Bastet Noir, offered insights into how made-to-measure fashion can scale through virtual customization and digital prototyping. As part of the Just Fashion EU project, this approach contributes to a more sustainable, circular, and inclusive fashion system. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the Bastet Noir pilot capsule collection firsthand.
A special thank you to our moderator, Angela Donevska, for guiding the conversations, and to everyone who joined and contributed with curiosity, engagement, and thoughtful dialogue.
As part of the program, a digital book promotion titled “From Digital to Print”, along with a donor event, was held in support of the printed edition of the publication “Clothing and Fashion: From History to the Present” by Zorka Todorova-Mladenovikj—one of the rare works in the Macedonian language dedicated to the history of costume and fashion, both globally and locally.
The discussion featured Zorka Todorova-Mladenovikj and Lidija Georgieva, moderated by Angela Donevska. The event symbolically connected three generations—mentor, student, and successor—reflecting the continuous transmission of knowledge, passion, and experience. This publication represents an important cultural contribution, offering a comprehensive perspective on the evolution, creative expression, and cultural significance of fashion.
Fashion is evolving—and this program offered a glimpse into its future.
