Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences

AMFI is the largest fashion institute in the Netherlands, educating around 1500 students each year on the fashion industry and beyond. It is the only fashion institute in the Netherlands that covers the entire fashion chain through the disciplines of Fashion & Management, Fashion & Branding and Fashion & Design. As a forerunner in fashion digitalisation, sustainability and diversity, AMFI combines creativity and craft with ethical innovation. Our Bachelor of Science in Fashion & Textile Technologies has naturally an international focus and provides programmes in Dutch and English. He earned his doctorate in Management and Economics from Ulm University, Germany, where his research focused on labor rights and social compliance across multi-tier garment supply chains. In addition to his academic and research roles, Deniz consulted international fashion brands and retailers on implementing sustainability risk management strategies. He also supported clients in understanding and applying EU sustainability regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the German Supply Chain Act.
